Jacek Zimmer–Czekaj – legal counsel.
His areas of practice are: TMT, energy law, protection of personal data, intellectual property law, banking & payment services.
Mr. Zimmer – Czekaj graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the Faculty of Law and Administration in 2008. He is a former assistant to the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, specializing in regulated markets, particularly energy law, telecommunication law, payment services law, intellectual property law, personal data protection law. In his career, he cooperated with two leading law offices in TMT. Mr. Zimmer–Czekaj took part in projects concerning the implementation of IT systems, payment services, personal data protection (incl. third countries transfer). He is the author and a co-author of publications on intellectual property law and energy law (support schemes). During his work for SworaLegal, Zimmer-Czekaj took part in projects on tolling agreements, and in drafting of a report on legal and regulatory aspects of the Home Area Network for smart grids (financed by the World Bank), DSM tariffs, gas supply contracts, privacy protection in smart grids.
